We’re excited to be inviting applications to join our Board of Trustees. If you think you can help us achieve our vision of a future where enterprising people are transforming our world for good, then we want to hear from you.
Our trustees are vital to our work. They govern UnLtd and work across a whole suite of responsibilities, including reviewing our strategy and operations, ensuring our assets and resources are put to best use, and identifying how we can provide better, more inclusive, support to social entrepreneurs. They’re crucial in making what we do happen, as well as in helping us to improve.
In 2020, we focused our efforts on supporting social entrepreneurs across the UK to weather the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition to leveraging our resources provided through the Millennium Awards Trust, we secured external funding to get more than £12m out to over 350 social entrepreneurs in emergency grants. We also strengthened partnerships with sector partners and funders to support social entrepreneurs creating an inclusive recovery across the UK.
As we look to the future, we’ll be accelerating these efforts by supporting the most impactful social entrepreneurs; providing them with market-leading support to help create an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable society; establishing the UK as the best place to be a social entrepreneur; and becoming a foundation of and not just for social entrepreneurs.
If you think your experience and expertise can help us in our efforts, then please do apply. We’d especially like to encourage applications from individuals who are Black, Asian, and minority ethnic, disabled, and leaders with direct lived experience of the issues they are tackling.
Our trustees are appointed for fixed terms of 3 years and the average time commitment, including meeting preparation and reading, is c.12-16 hours per quarter. We also pay travel and accommodation expenses as needed.
You can apply and find full details about the role here.
We’ll be accepting applications until Sunday 28 February 2021. If you have any questions, please just email [email protected].
