We’ve partnered with global super connectors Empact for the London and Bournemouth events in The Super Connect Series, which brings together the best emerging tech start-ups and scale-ups with decision-makers at corporates, brands, SMEs, non-profits, investors, grant bodies and funding providers to explore collaboration and funding support based on mutual need.
Each local event combines a series of tech talks with a range of innovative pitches from tech startups and scale-ups all powered by a unique match-making process to connect people based on mutual need during and after the day through its team of Super Connectors. The event themes include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), FinTech, Cyber Security, MedTech, RetailTech and Fibre Network / 5G, AR/VR amongst others.
The MedTech work is of particular interest to us, and we’re looking for social entrepreneurs in this space who are utilising MedTech to tackle the greatest challenges to people in the UK in later life.
Our Thrive: Solutions for an Ageing Society programme will be looking for applicants early next year, and hope that our presence at The Super Connect Series will connect us with socially impactful businesses who are ready to scale.
The Super Connect Series exists to address the challenge people face when attending events in identifying the right people to meet and understanding if they are potentially interested in their organisation, project or venture. More so, it is focused on supporting smaller companies to be given the opportunity to work with larger ones and access a wider range of funding sources at a local to national level.
As well as providing an opportunity to connect with start-ups working on the health challenges facing those in later life, we’ll also be participating in events across the days.
In London on the 14th of November, our CEO, Mark Norbury, will be leading a fireside chat at 11.30-12pm, and later that day we’ll also be attending the panel session at 1-2pm focussing on how healthcare and start ups can collaborate together.
The Bournemouth event is on 20th November 2019, with more opportunities to meet with our team and discuss ideas and opportunities.
