In 2015 alone, UnLtd awarded a total of £5 million and offered £1.6 million in pro-bono support and resources to 1,150 social entrepreneurs, as revealed by our 2015 UnLtd Impact Report. The UnLtd Impact Report provides a complete overview of our work, approach and impact in the 2014-2015 financial year as well as the insights we believe we should act on next. The report reveals that over 818,000 people benefitted from the work of our Award Winners during this period, thanks to the allocation of over 1,100 awards by both UnLtd and our partners.
This UnLtd Impact Report 2015, which is available to download in full, also highlights key examples where UnLtd reached out and unleashed the energies of people who can transform their worlds in the final year of our 2010-2015 strategy. One of these social entrepreneurs is Build It Award Winner, Amanda Wellens-Bray, founder of Greenslate Community Farm. Amanda believed, along with 96% of other Award Winners, that she would not have progressed in the same way without UnLtd's support.
Our Build It Award, one of the five standard awards we offer, seeks to support Community Social Entrepreneurs like Amanda, through giving them access to vital peer-to-peer learning and support.
""The Award gave me a massive amount of flexibility to take things forward and the ability to access both local and national networks."" Amanda Wellens-Bray, Greenslate Community Farm
The last year has seen us focus on developing the social entrepreneur support sector into an effective system of help, by continuing to build a powerful network of partner agencies and individuals, working with 145 delivery partners in 2014-15.
Together, we are learning how to better support social entrepreneurs and these key learnings are what will drive our new strategy Going Mainstream. It will see UnLtd, alongside our supporters and partners, increasingly focusing on breaking down the barriers faced by social entrepreneurs to help them fulfill their potential to create impact.
