The effects of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis hit marginalised and minoritised communities the hardest, with many people still struggling to get by – often considered too high risk to have access to the beneficial financial services, like bank accounts, that others take for granted.

The Funding Futures Programme funds and supports 16-30 year olds with great ideas for solutions to help those sidelined by the financial system – giving them the tools they need to build financial resilience in their communities, so they become fairer places to live, with opportunities for all. Ideas could tackle financial exclusion directly or indirectly.

By listening to, and working closely with, the next generation of leaders and pioneers, the Funding Futures Programme will help create a future where a healthy economy means good, sustainable jobs, with money flowing back into communities right across the UK, and with people and social value at its heart.
